Imai Herbs was born out of a passion for natural, plant-based personal care. Founded in 2021 in Erode, Tamil Nadu, we make eco-friendly alternatives to conventional sanitary products — because nature offers the best solutions for our well-being.
Why does something used by half the population, every single month, still come wrapped in plastic and packed with chemicals?
In 2021, in Erode — a town that has known cotton and textiles for generations — a small team began experimenting with what a genuinely natural pad could look like. Not a compromise. Not a “greener” version of the same thing. A pad built from the ground up out of what the earth already gives us.
The answer turned out to be sitting in the fields around us: Roselle, a plant fibre that is naturally, stubbornly absorbent, paired with 100% organic cotton against the skin. No plastics. No toxins. No harsh chemicals. Just a pad that works, and then quietly goes back to the soil.
